CRSCM Leadership and Support
The Coalition for Regenerative Stem Cell Medicine (CRSCM) is led by a Steering Committee composed of four of the coalition's members and served by an Executive Director.
CRSCM's Steering Committee includes the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA), the Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH), the Parent' s Guide to Cord Blood and Dr. Ian Rogers, a prominent cord blood researcher out of the University of Toronto. Specifically the Steering Committee serves as an advisory board to the coalition. This includes feedback on coalition activities and policy direction as well as providing a sounding board for coalition messages.
CRSCM's Executive Director is Tom Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter has worked on cord blood stem cell policy since 2002, serving as a Congressional Aide on the issue until 2004 when he began representing Cord Blood Registry before Congress and the Executive Branch. In sum, Mr. Carpenter has worked for seven years in almost all facets of government regarding cord blood stem cells. Financial support is provided by the coalition's founding member, Cord Blood Registry (CBR), as well as contributions offered by the membership of the Coalition.
